Walk On Water Ministries

Walk On Water Ministries is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and edifying the Body of Christ.

Recent News Article: GENESEO – No reservations were felt toward helping a family recover from a house fire on a South Dakota Indian reservation.

BUS NEWS: We are in the process of purchasing a newer bus.  Donations and prayers are needed in order to make this happen!

MISSION TRIP NEWS:

SOUTH DAKOTA:  Our Mission Trip to Standing Rock Indian Reservation in South Dakota this summer is quickly approaching!  We will be attending the "Awakening Of The Spirit" Camp put on by "One Spirit Ministries" (Jerry & Tabitha Goodhouse's Family).   Cost per teen will be $300.00, (which partially covers the $400/person the trip actually costs).  Adults and Young Adults (21 & older) participating as leaders are given a 'suggested donation' amount of $200.00.  Two separate letters are provided under the "Fundraising" Link for 'first time' and 'returning' Mission Trip Participants.  You can reword the 'letter' at the top right of the page to personalize it if you wish to.  Returning Young Adults and experienced teens will be given the chance to serve as leaders on a 'first come, first served' basis.  We will be camping out under the beautiful South Dakota skies and truly getting the chance to learn more about the Lakota culture and how their Native American Spirituality co-exists and compliments Christianity.

KENTUCKY:  We are also taking a 'Work Camp' Mission Trip to the Appalachian Mountains in Salyersville Kentucky, partnering with the Salyersville First Baptist Church August 8th through the 15th. Cost per teen will be $400.00; (which partially covers the $500/person the trip actually costs).  Adults and Young Adults participating as leaders are given a 'suggested donation' amount of $250.00.  As stated above, two separate letters are provided under the "Fundraising" Link specifically for this trip for 'first time' and 'returning' Mission Trip Participants.  You can reword the 'letter' at the top right of the page to personalize it if you wish to.  We will be serving the people in that area with building and repairs as needed.

PERMISSION FORM NOTES:  The forms are typed to be placed back to back & folded in two.  Sorry if this is confusing!  Also, packing lists for both trips are included on the permission forms, so be sure to make a copy of that page to keep for reference.

YOUNG LIFE CAPERNAUM CAMP:  Once again, the WOW Ministry bus will be transporting 'special needs' teens and their 'Buddies' to a Young Life "Capernaum" camp in Goshen, Virginia Aug. 1 - Aug. 5th.  Arrangements for that trip can be made through Quad Cities Young Life, with the cost of $550.00. There may be a few spots left.

MORE DETAILS ON THE SOUTH DAKOTA "AWAKENING OF THE SPIRIT" CAMP:

“The idea of the One Spirit Youth Camp out started out as a vision. An entire area of open prairie filled with youth and adults, of all faiths and cultures. Then a dream was also had, of youth enjoying the outdoors with God! The dreams and visions are becoming a reality with our first annual ‘Awakening of the Spirit Camp.”    (Tabitha Goodhouse)

Most teens will be a camp participant, with our more experienced young adults and adults being Assistant Leaders along with One Spirit Ministries Leaders.
